Who is Everoze?
Everoze is a highly respected independent consultancy with impressive track record in renewables. With around 100 people and projects spanning wind, solar, storage and beyond, they advise developers, investors and lenders across the full project lifecycle – from early-stage feasibility through to operational asset management.
The challenge that brought us together
Everoze had grown, in headcount, in capability and in ambition. But the market’s understanding of them hadn’t kept pace. The commercial collateral had grown organically over time without a unifying strategic thread. Different teams had different decks. Different conversations gave different impressions. And across all of it, the full breadth of what Everoze could actually do for their clients was getting lost.
Performing due diligence continues to be a standout strength, but it is only part of their story. Technical advisory, asset management, and much more beyond that. This is the depth and breadth of the service story is what they needed help bringing to life.
Make the Break brought that impartial, external voice to help unpick the challenge.
Our approach
Understanding the gap
We started with a full review of Everoze’s existing commercial collateral: pitch decks, sector materials, case studies. Alongside that, we ran a competitive analysis comparing Everoze’s positioning against key players in their space. The goal was to understand where the gaps were and what a sharper, more accurate version of the Everoze story could look like.
Getting the team aligned
We ran a series of workshops with the Everoze team to surface and pressure-test the thinking, checking the language, refining the positioning and making sure what we were building reflected how the best people in the business actually talked about their work and how they actually solve problems for their clients.
Building the foundations
From that work came a set of practical tools: a Writing Crib Sheet and a Comms Playbook. These working references were designed to give Everoze’s people a shared language and the confidence to represent the business consistently, whatever the context.
Putting it into people’s hands
The next stage of the process was producing materials that their team could actually use in client conversations. Using the Make the Break CapStat interview framework, we ran a structured session with the team to draw out the full capability story. From that, we built a new company-wide Capability Statement and restructured and redesigned the core pitch deck. These core BD documents were designed to carry forward the strategy and work that the Everoze team had put into Phase 1.
The results
Everoze came away with a clear strategic foundation, a team equipped to use it, and commercial collateral fit for the business they had become.
Within weeks of completion, Everoze had the new Capability Statement printed and in front of live prospects at an international renewables event in Italy.
What this means for your business
If your business has grown faster than your messaging has, that gap is costing you clarity in the market and paying clients. A messaging gap might look like different people on the team describing your company differently, depending on which part of the business they came from or work in. Clients you’ve worked with for years might not know your full suite of services. Proposals from different team members may read as if they came from different companies, because everyone’s pulling from their own mental model of the business. And in competitive situations, you may struggle to differentiate yourself against the market.
If you can’t articulate a coherent position, you end up competing on price or relationship alone, because the value story isn’t landing with your most valuable clients.
The fix does not need to be complicated. Talk to us about your messaging, positioning and BD collateral. With a little guidance, it is possible to gain the clarity needed to land your ideal clients and the collateral your team will actually use.
