Strategy Direction

I’m naturally drawn to helping people express ideas. As Strategy Director, I get to combine this curiosity with my passion for making things better than they were, and the renewable energy sector feels like the right place to be because we’re all working toward better energy solutions.

My career has taken some interesting turns, from managing creative teams as Head of Creative to senior leadership roles that helping grow businesses from the inside out. I’ve learned that getting creatives around the boardroom table is still pretty unusual.

We’re often seen as separate from the “business stuff,” but there’s real value in having someone who thinks differently involved in strategic decisions. I’ve had the privilege of introducing new services like complete rebrandings and watching them transform how companies connect with their clients.

What I love most is that sweet spot where strategy meets creativity, taking a founder’s vision and turning it into something tangible that actually works.

There’s something satisfying about watching someone’s face light up when they see their half-formed ideas turned into something concrete that actually reflects what they needed, even if they couldn’t articulate it at first. I think it comes down to genuine curiosity about what makes businesses tick and what their customers really need.

When I’m not strategising, you’ll find me in the kitchen obsessing over my latest culinary fixation. Whether that’s fermenting, growing mushrooms, nailing my sourdough, trying to make the perfect cup of coffee, or researching the ideal Japanese knife. My wife patiently tolerates these “creative phases,” probably because she benefits from me being the house chef.
